Learning outside the classroom

LOtC allows children to develop confidence, independence, self-esteem, awareness and knowledge of the natural environment. This fully supports our Mission Statement: Excellence, care and fun for all.

This is achieved by setting small achievable tasks. It is a child centred and child led programme that provides the opportunity for the children to use their personal learning style to complete their chosen tasks.

We pride ourselves at Haddenham St Mary’s on our beautiful and extensive grounds. We take every opportunity to use these and provide opportunities for learning outside. Learning about ‘how to look after our environment’ is a fundamental part of our curriculum.
